Turkish Classes Bristol
Learn Turkish in Bristol!
Forming part of both Europe and Asia, Turkey is a truly fascinating hybrid of cultures from both continents. Istanbul is known as the "gateway to Asia" - it's strategic location made it one of the most important cities in history, spanning various empires. The bustling capital city is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, while the country's gorgeous coastline makes it an extremely popular holiday destination. Why not learn some before your next trip?
Did you know?
- There are over 75 million native speakers across Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Most live in Turkey, but there are sizable populations of Turkish speakers in Greece, Germany and most countries bordering Turkey.
- Turkish only started using a Latin Alphabet in 1928? It replaced the Ottoman turkish alphabet as one of Presisdent Atatürk's reforms to modernise Turkey.
