The best of British culture

After class, you can enjoy a daily afternoon activity and late afternoon/evening activity most nights. On Mondays, we start with a welcome lunch at school. Then we go on a walking tour of Bristol's Harbourside or Clifton Village & Suspension Bridge. Throughout the week activities include exploring Bristol's Aerospace Museum, Brunel's SS Great Britain, a harbourside walking tour and boat trip and graffiti tour. There are excursions on the two Saturdays  to Oxford and London, and the option to visit the nearby UNESCO city of Bath.

In addition to the programme schedule, we have a variety of optional extra excursions such as wine tasting, brewery tours and a tour of the oldest working theatre in England.

Make the most of learning English

We focus on practical, effective and natural English. The classes are designed to build on any existing knowledge you already have. Our aim is to help you feel more comfortable using English at home and abroad. In class, we study topics connected to your activities and trips. This makes it easier to talk about them with your classmates.

Conversation Club

Conversation Club is an excellent way to practise your English with other students and teachers. Every Friday afternoon, all IH Bristol students come together to discuss a variety of topics and to use the English they have been learning through the week. Students interact with each other, listening and responding to what they say, exactly as they will do in real life.

It is also a fun way to finish the week!
