IELTS results & remarks

Below you will find some important information on how to receive your IELTS results

Test results

Test results are released 13 days after the test (this is usually a Friday). We are not permitted to give test results out by telephone, fax, email or text and we cannot issue replacement test report forms if lost.

Your results will be posted to you directly from IH London 13 days after your exam.

If you have agreed to collect your results from the centre, you can do so on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 2-4pm. Please send an email to ielts@ihbristol.com at least 24 hours in advance to arrange collection.

Additional Institution copies

You can request up to five copies of your results to be sent to educational institutions, government agents, professional bodies or an employer. The relevant addresses should be provided in the relevant section of the online registration form.

If you have already taken your test and would like to request additional copies of your results, you can do so by completing an additional institution copies form and emailing it directly to ielts@ihlondon.com. There is a charge of £20 per copy. Please note that you can only request additional copies of results to be sent to institutions. Candidates cannot request extra copies for themselves.

If you are applying for a Canadian VISA, you may qualify for a second copy of your results to be sent to you along with your personal copy. You should contact us at the time of application for further details on how to obtain a second copy.

Enquiry on Results procedure

If, after receiving your results, you wish to appeal, please follow the Enquiry on Results (EOR) procedure.

It costs £120 to have one or more components of your test remarked. You would need to directly post a completed EOR form to IH Bristol along with your original test report form to arrive no more than six weeks after your test date. Once IH Bristol receive your form and payment they will send you confirmation of receipt by e-mail. If you do not receive confirmation of receipt after a week, please get in touch.

IH Bristol will send the appropriate test materials to the British Council to be remarked. The British Council will inform IH Bristol of its decision within four weeks of receiving the materials. If your score changes as a result of the remark, you will be refunded the £120 and you will be issued with a new test report form. If your score does not change, you will lose the £120 fee and your original test report form returned to you.
