IH Bristol is Bildungsurlaub approved
New for 2021, IH Bristol is delighted to announce we have been awarded Bildungsurlaub recognition from several regions in Germany.
Bildungsurlaub is educational leave which German employees are entitled to for 5 paid days a year to study at a recognised institution to develop their skills in a range of areas, including English. In some Bundesland you are allowed to carry over your allowance to the following year and study for 10 days, so you could stay up to 2 weeks in Bristol! Participants must be 18+ years and have worked for their company for at least 6 months.
IH Bristol is now approved in Niedersächsischen, Rheinland Pfalz, Bremen and Berlin, and Hessen accepts approvals from other ministries providing certain criterias are met. If you are from another region in Germany and are interested in studying with us please contact us.
Online courses
With so much uncertainty still surrounding international travel, we are also pleased to confirm that online study is permitted in Berlin, Brandenburg and Bremen; Niedersachsen will allow online courses until 30/06/2021, and in Rheinland-Pfalz, approval for online course can be applied for.
