OET Exam Inspection Success
In a year of great change and adaption, IH Bristol's Exams Department was very pleased to add one particular string to its bow in 2020 - the OET.
In fact, our first OET exam took place on 7th March 2020, just before the national lockdown was announced. With an exhaustive COVID-19 safety procedure in place, we later restarted OET exams on June 13th 2020 and have run them 2-3 times a month ever since. In a time of frequent change, exams have been a relative constant here at IH Bristol!
We had an unannounced inspection, as is required for quality control, on 9th January and are delighted to report that we received the highest possible score and are fully compliant with all exam procedures. The auditor "congratulated the invigilation staff on their dedication to providing the best possible quality of exam delivery".

In the current lockdown, all January exams are going ahead and all future exams are currently going ahead as planned, so if you are thinking of taking the exam this year you can book with confidence in every aspect.
What is OET?
The OET is an international English language test that assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals seeking to register and practise in an English-speaking environment. OET is now accepted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK as an alternative to the IELTS.
IH Bristol can help you learn techniques and strategies that will help you fine tune your language skills and achieve the result you need the first time around. We run a one-week intensive course at our language school in Bristol monthly, or can arrange private individual or group classes at a time/location to suit. Are other exams are available?
