Discover a new phrase each day to use in your English! These are special phrases and sayings that English speakers use all the time, but you don't often see these phrases in English course books or other study material. Visit daily to learn some popular English phrases on a regular basis.

"It's still up in the air"
We use this expression to say that a future plan hasn’t been decided yet because we don’t have enough information to make the decision.

"Fair enough"
We use this expression to agree to a condition, or to say we think something is acceptable.

Phrase of the day

"I've felt better / I've had better"
We use this expression to say that we are not feeling as well as we normally do. With 'had' the phrase means that a recent experience is not as good as past experiences.

"See what I mean!"
We use this expression after another person has disagreed with or questioned our ideas. We are using the phrase to remind them that we are correct.

"Bless him / Bless her"
We use this expression when we want to show sympathy or concern for someone that we care about.

"Rather you than me"
We use this expression to say that we would prefer not to do something.
