Hello. My name is Yuri. I am teaching Japanese at IH Bristol.
I started teaching Japanese in 1990 in Osaka. While in Japan, I mainly taught overseas research students. After moving to the UK, I was teaching Japanese grammar at teacher training course in London. I have been teaching Japanese in Bristol since 2008. Japanese may look challenging, but conversational Japanese is not so difficult. With only five vowels, pronunciation is straightforward. Although grammar is different from European languages, the sentence structures used in daily communication are simple.I make my classes fun and encourage everybody to participate. I also introduce some cultural aspects of Japan.
