After graduating from university I worked in my home town of Hull as a joiner before moving to Barcelona to work as an English teacher. After spending 3 years there I returned to England to work in education. My main area was working with school-leavers that wanted to work towards an apprenticeship and needed guidance to help them with their studies.
I love working here at International House as we deal with people who are having the time of their lives. I have studied abroad myself so I know how life changing it can be, and I’m proud to be helping other people to have great experiences. Our hosts are amazing and we get great feedback from our students about being welcomed into the home and treated as one of the family! Our students often make friends for life with their hosts!
When I’m not in school I like walking in the countryside, cycling and generally keeping fit. I also like cooking, reading and learning the guitar. I also love learning languages, and I’m currently attending Arabic classes here at International House!
