Hi, I'm Liz. I've been teaching English for over ten years and have been working at The Language Project and then at IH Bristol since January 2007.
My first teaching job was in the small mountain town of Tripolis in Greece, which was an amazing experience. I've also taught in Portugal and more recently in Italy, where I lived and worked for five years.
I enjoy helping students understand the complexities of English grammar, phrasal verbs and idiomatic phrases and expressions. I can speak some Italian and a little Greek so I have a good idea what it's like trying to learn and understand a new foreign language.
In my free time I go running, read and listen to music. I also love going horse-riding in the beautiful countryside around Bristol when I get the chance.
I am responsible for our Teacher Training Programmes, in particular our Cambridge CELTA and Trinity Diploma courses.
