Shw’mae! I’m Eleanor, I’m 26 and I am the Welsh teacher here at IH. I’ve been fluent in Welsh since the age of 2 when I was placed in Welsh Medium Education in my home town of Llantrisant, near Cardiff. Being raised bilingually has helped me to go on to learn French, Spanish and Catalan as well. I have a degree in Spanish and History from the University of Exeter and a PGCE from Cardiff Metropolitan University and have been teaching Welsh, French and Spanish to secondary school children for the past few years. I passionately believe that anyone has the ability to learn languages and I aim to make my lessons as engaging as possible through a variety of group and individual tasks mixed with a wide array of games. I moved to Bristol 2 years ago and now I couldn’t imagine living elsewhere.
