New student room at IH Bristol - Queens Avenue

English Courses

We've had a lot to celebrate at IH Bristol recently: a safe, smooth and successful reopening of the school back on 3rd August; Charlie, our teacher of 17+ years' birthday last week - and a brand NEW student room in our Queens Avenue building!

Though work began last autumn, lockdown and our temporary building closure over spring meant we had the space and time (and no excuses!) to finish the project earlier this month. Our Queens Avenue centre is usually home to our Foreign Language and CELTA courses, OET/Cambridge exams and Junior programmes - and while initial reopening numbers are smaller, our adult students are based here too.

Having the extra, covered space is ideal for the unreliable British weather - especially when we welcome our Juniors in winter and summer! When the sun is shining, the bi-folding doors mean we can open up the room to the garden and keep cool in the shade.

The room has already been used for OET exams, a socially-distanced pancake night, BBQ and our daily free English lessons taught by our CELTA trainees - and with the delivery of our new table football table we're looking forward to some friendly tournaments with students and staff over the coming weeks.

Quite simply, it's fantastic to see the school full of life again. Why don't you join us? Find out more about our face-to-face courses in Bristol here
