How To Use These Phrases In Your English

  • 1. This is the most useful question about the programmes on TV tonight.
  • 2. We use this expression to see if there is a better programme on another channel.
  • We use 3 to warn someone that a favourite programme is about to start.
  • 4 is a common way of asking for control of the TV. Another question is "who's got the remote?"
  • We use 5 when we have seen the programme before. This happens more and more.
  • 6 is a useful negative comment on a programme or film you don't like.
  • 7. This is useful if someone is making noise while you are trying to concentrate.
  • If a boring programme is on and you want to change, you use 8.
  • 9 This tells someone that you are recording a programme, now or in the future.
