If you are after a very (0)  holiday where you can get away
from it all, why not visit Greece?
There are (1)  places to visit, both on the mainland and on the
islands. Personally, one of my favourite areas is the
Peloponnese. There is a wide (2)  of things to see and do.
You could visit Nafplio, the ancient capital of Greece and
home to Palamidi Castle. This is where the great leader
Kolokotronis defended Greece against the Turks in the Greek
War of (3)  . The castle itself is in the centre of the town and
if you are feeling (4)  you can climb the 857 steps to the top.
Even though the climb is tiring, you will not be (5)  as the
views from the top are breathtaking, (6)  on a sunny day.
For the less active, you might like to take a stroll through
the old town and take a seat at one of the many cafes, order
a glass of Retsina and watch the world go by.
Olympia, home of the Olympic Games, is also (7)  in the
Peloponnese and well-worth a visit. It is like stepping back
in time to the original Olympics, when (8)  , only men were

To sum up, whether you want to sunbathe on a beautiful
sandy beach or go (10)  in ancient towns and cities
steeped in history, Greece is the place for you.
