James Bond is a one of the world’s most famous fictional (0)  and was the invention of the British novelist Ian Fleming. He is the (1)  character in the James Bond series of (2)  novels and has also been the subject of television productions, radio plays and big budget (3)  films. Originally, there were a total of twelve (4)  novels and two collections of (5)  stories, most of which have now been the subject of a cinema presentation. The first novel to receive the (6)  screen treatment was Dr No, which was filmed in 1962 with the actor Sean Connery playing the (7)  role of James Bond.

In both novels and films, Bond is a secret (8)  , working for the British Secret Service, which is known in the novels as SIS and, more recently, (9)  to in the later films as MI6.
