The M4 and M5 motorways both come to Bristol. If you are arriving by car, it is best to leave the motorway at Junction 17 of the M5 (there is a connection between the M4 and M5) and take the A4018. Stay on the A4018 as it heads into the city. After you cross The Downs, a large area of parkland, the name of A4018 becomes Whiteladies Road. Keep going straight until you get to Clifton Down Shopping Centre on your right. Oakfield Road is the third turning to the right after the shopping centre.
