Exam timetable and prices
This page gives details of exam dates, deadlines for entering and prices for all the sessions in 2010 and 2011 for the following four exams. For more details about the exams themselves see the Cambridge ESOL exams page.
- PET - The Preliminary English Test
- FCE - First Certificate in English
- CAE - Certificate In Advanced English
- CPE - Cerificate of Proficiency in English
- Late registration fees - an additional cost that you need to pay if you register after the deadline
Exam dates and deadlines
In the PET exams, all parts of the test usually take place on the same day, but in the other three exams there are two separate days for each exam. For FCE, CAE and CPE, on the first day, the speaking test happens and the written and listening papers happen on the second day. The two days are usually in consecutive weeks.
In all cases, the deadline is the last date when we can definitely receive an application to take the exam. After the dates given we may be able to accept candidates for that session but it will be necessary to pay a late entry fee of at least £20.

Late registration fees
If you are applying after the deadlines shown above there will be a late registration fee. The size of the fee depends on how late you are. See the following list:
- up to three weeks after the deadline - £21.00
- up to six weeks after the deadline - £32.00
- more than six weeks after the deadline - £42.00
