Ned Widdows, Teacher and Social Programme Organiser

Teacher and Social Programme OrganiserHi, I'm Ned. I'm the newest full-time teacher at International House Bristol.

After graduating from Norwich University College and Art and Design in 2006, I worked for three years in Bristol, in restaurant management, photographic sales and learning support. About a year ago I decided that teaching was for me, so I did a teacher training course at IHB (then The Language Project). I've worked in summer schools with teenagers, primary school kids in Italy, and as a free-lance teacher around Bristol (and on a farm in Sardinia!).

I joined International House Bristol as a full-time teacher in January 2010. I'm also the Social Programme Organiser, so I arrange all the fun, interesting and cultural events for the students. Of course, I enjoy all the events, but especially the day trips when I can spend time with the students exploring our cultural heritage.

Three interesting things about me: I have done a sky dive (twice!); I have an identical twin brother (so look out someone who looks exactly the same as me around Bristol!); I have been to New Zealand twice (lucky me!).
