Liz Posner, Accommodation and Welfare Officer

Accommodation Officer Liz PosnerHi my name is Liz and I am the Accommodation and Work Placement Officer at International House.

My role is to help make sure you really enjoy your stay with your host family, and your work placement.  I am always more than happy to help should you need any assistance or advice. I understand exactly what it's like to live and study in a foreign country as I have done it in France and Spain. It can be quite scary at first but exciting too!  I love learning foreign languages but know how difficult it can be so I can empathise with you when learning English! I speak fluent French and spent many months living in Provence in the south of France. I also spent time in the south of Spain learning Spanish. What a great experience!

One of the reasons I like working at International House is because I get to meet lots of students of different nationalities with different cultures. In my spare time, I like watching French films. I also like going to the gym and trying to keep fit.

I also like eating out in restaurants - I love trying foreign food so if ever you want to bring me a local speciality from your country to taste, please do! Maybe some sushi from Japan or some paella from Spain! I enjoy going to the theatre and the cinema. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.  Lastly, I love discovering new places in Bristol as it's a great city! You will love it!
