My name is Alan and I've been a teacher for four years.
Although I'm a little older than most of the other teachers, I am also still a student with the Open University, which offers degree courses to anyone, and in recent years I have done courses in French, German and Spanish, so I know very well the difficulties of being a language learner.
In whatever spare time I have, I enjoy reading, going to classical music concerts, and playing chess or bridge. And at least three or four times a year I like to get away for city breaks to various parts of Europe – preferably to those countries where I can speak a little of the local language.
